Sinclair Sketch is a ZX Spectrum drawing game inspired by the classic Etch A Sketch from the 1980s. There are no knobs or powder here  it’s all on-screen. You move a cursor around the display and it leaves a line wherever you go, letting you build your own drawings as you play.

It is also a very skilful program. With a bit of practice and planning, you can create clean shapes, detailed patterns, and even full masterpieces by guiding the line exactly where you want it to go.

Controls

  • O = Draw Left

  • P = Draw Right

  • Q = Draw Up

  • A = Draw Down

  • 0 = Clear Screen

  • K = Position Locator - (Helps to find the pixel inside the line)

  • 1 = Music On

  • 2 = Music Off

  • 3 = Restart

Pro tip: Hold two directions at the same time to draw diagonals. For example, hold Left + Down to draw a diagonal line and you can do the same with Up + Right, Up + Left, and Down + Right to create diagonals in any direction.

Sinclair Sketch is simple to pick up, but the more time you spend with it, the more impressive your drawings can become.

We have added a very iconic 80s tune to relax you as you draw your technical drawing.

Quite a fun play, and a good blast of Europe's The Final Countdown. Obviously too realistic, as even Google picked up on it, acting like I was trying to rip Joey Tempest off for the two pence of revenue that the video will get... ;)

haha, thanks for the review, i appreciate that.
I'm not sure the controls off hand but i think KEY 1 and 2 toggles music on and off.

Thankyou

On the Options screen (press 3 from the main menu) you have some confused information: it says "KEY 0 DRAW LEFT" (that's zero) and "KEY O CLEAR SCREEN" (that's letter O). Those keys are the wrong way round!

Thank you, Richard. I think I uploaded the wrong build, as that issue had already been corrected. The correct version has been updated now, thank you very much for letting me know.

Thank you!
